    MAC HELLO KITTY IS HERE!

    By GloriaYangBB · February 6, 2009 · 0 Comments ·

    THAT'S RIGHT!

Ok. I haven't breathed properly since I heard this news from makeupbag.net, but Hello Kitty is here at Nordstroms!  Granted nothing is shipped until the 10th, but still, pre-order!

I'm definitely getting the Beauty Powder in Pretty Baby ($22), and the Powder Blush in Fun & Games ($18).  I'm trying to limit myself to only 1 palette, but I really can't decide on which one!

    Stila Loves Barbie

    By GloriaYangBB · January 16, 2009 · 1 Comment ·

I don't particularly love Stila as much as I love say, NARS.  It is one of the first brands that I got into when I started makeup, so the interest is still there.  They've just came out with the Stila Loves Barbie collection, and while I thought it was cute, I wasn't so thrilled about it.  I mean, as a kid, I dismembered Barbies and then wondered why the hell they don't have genitilia.  I never said I was a normal kid.

So while the collection is fairly priced, and the colors look quite cute, and everything packaged together quite eye-catching, I decided to forgo it and save my money for MAC's Hello Kitty collection.  Then I learned from The Muse that it's already sold out at Sephora.com, and my weird mind started wanting it.  Like totally jonsing for it like a crack addict out of crack.  I even called my local Sephora store (the same one that I got hired for during X-mas) to see if they had it and could possibly save one for me, but they haven't even heard of it!!  I even asked the store director and assistant director!  Bleh, turns out it'll be in stores in February.

For some odd reason, since it's not out of reach, I must have it.

What the hell is wrong with me?  Please, if you have an idea, let me know.

Jewel Doll Paint Can - Includes eyeshadow duo with blush palette (tan with pink shimmer, brown with gold and brown shimmer, and shimmering pink blush), a lip glaze in Jewel, and a Multi-effect Mascara in Black.  I personally love this paint can and want to get my grubby little hands on this.

The Foxy paint can contains an eyeshadow duo, a sky blue color with white shimmer and a soft pale pink with pink and white shimmer (sounds delicious), a golden bronze bronzer, a pale pinky-peach lip glaze called Malibu, and a Lash Visor Waterproof Mascara in black.  This is the second on the list of what I'd like to try.

The Ponytail paint can contains is probably the most popular and fun.  The red lipstick (Ponytail), black liquid liner, the shimmery blue eyeshadow with black matte eyeshadow, and soft coral cheek color can create such an amazing look.  I'm kind of thinking of getting this one instead of the Jewel paint can now since I'm really digging the blue smoky eye look right now.

I am very MEH to this Malibu paint can.  Maybe it's because I live in SoCal and am surrounded by too-tanned blondies, this look just does not appeal to me.  But if you are interested,it contains a pale pink shimmery eyeshadow, a sky blue eyeshadow with blue shimmer (maybe this is the color turning me off.. I like blue but not light blue), and a golden bronze bronzer, the same peachy-pink Lip Glaze, Malibu, as in the Foxy can, and the same mascara.

Lastly, the collection includes a talking palette.  Those are pretty cool as it guides you through applying all the different colors, which can sometimes be tough!  It's like, so wait.. I put the what, where??!?  I get that a lot.  Anyhow, this includes a cool pink shimmer as a base, a bright lilac with gold (ooh!) sparkles for the lid, a deep pink for the crease, and a dark purple with blue sparkles to use as a liner.  I'm quite intrigued by the gold sparkled lilac color.

After examining the collection in details, I've fallen for them even more.  Call your Sephora around the beginning of February to see when they'll get it in.  As of now, the store people don't know anything about it.  They did suggest calling 1800-Sephora to ask the corporate more about it.

What are YOU planning on getting?
